Policy Regarding the Issuance of Accredited Diploma for the IOU Open Education Program

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to declare and put into effect the issuance of the accredited diploma for the graduates of the IOU Open Education Program.

Policy Statement

The graduates of the IOU Open Education Program* may apply for their accredited diploma from Somalia upon successful completion of the required courses.
*IOU Open Education Program is hereby defined as a program that does not require the applicants to have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate.

Currently, it includes the following programs at the IOU:

  1. Intensive Arabic Program
  2. Advanced Diploma Program in any of the following four departments:

    1. Department of Education
    2. Department of Islamic Economics, Banking, and Finance
    3. Department of Psychology
    4. Department of Islamic Studies
Benefits of the Policy

This policy will allow the students to collect their provisional transcript containing the IOU stamp and the Registrar’s signature.

Fee Structure

There is a processing fee of $200 USD including postage charges and other additional costs.
