Umm Mazen Sister Umm Rukhaiya has a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from Cairo University. She later completed an Islamic Studies degree from AL Rahma Institute with a focus on the interpretation of the Quran. She had ijazaa in hafs an aasem and Shu’ba reading.

Umm Mazen has been working with IOU since 2014. She has over 15 years experience teaching the Quran to non-Arabic speakers in many different educational institutes.
