The International Open University (IOU) is pleased to announce the launch of operations in Tanzania in collaboration with BAKWATA (Tanzania Muslims Council). 

The IOU is honored to appoint His Eminence Sheikh Abubakr Zubeir Mbwana as the provisional head of IOU Programs in Tanzania with immediate effect. 

Under the aegis of this agreement, the IOU will offer quality educational services (online degrees and short courses) to the citizens of Tanzania to promote education and development in the country and help Muslim communities in need. 

The IOU is privileged to support the initiatives of BAKWATA to foster education and community development in the country through this collaboration.
