The International Open University Chancellor Dr. Bilal Philips congratulated IOU staff and students on achieving NAQAA  accreditation for its courses. The National Accreditation and Quality Assurance Authority (NAQAA), a UNEVOC designated center for technical and vocational education and training based in The Gambia, has granted full accreditation for a period of four years to the following programs at the International Open University (IOU): 
• Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
• Bachelor of Science in Islamic Economics, Banking and Finance (B. Sc)
• Bachelor of Science in Psychology (B. Sc)
