The International Open University President, Dr. Cherno Omar Barry addressed the first-ever IOU online academic conference on Research and Integrated Sciences  IOUCRIS 2021, heralding it as an important development in higher education.

Dr. Cherno Omar Barry noted that the conference has received 33 research papers from 44 participants. Peer-reviewed papers have been selected for presentation, in addition to which IOUCRIS 2021 features a keynote session, a research colloquium that includes two research workshops, and presentations from IOU research students.

Dr. Cherno Omar Barry commended the organizers of the conference and hoped that all participants and viewers would benefit from the knowledge and experience gained at IOUCRIS 2021.
