IEC graduation:

 The first graduation ceremony of students who completed IOU’s one-year Intensive English Course (IEC) in The Gambia. The IEC is currently being run in partnership with the Gambian Ministry of Basic & Secondary Education, as well as being run in Somaliland, Guinea Bissau and Senegal with an increasing number of students in addition to the current number of 3000 students.

Books donation ceremony:

 During Dr Bilal Philip’s visit to The Gambia National library he found the amount of authentic Islamic reading material to be scarce. This led him to launch a global appeal for the donation of authentic Islamic books. This appeal was met with great response by donors with thousands of books being sent to the IOU Gambia office. The formal handing over of the books to the various libraries in The Gambia included the National Library, the National Prison, and the University of The Gambia etc. Alhamdulillah this was a successful event.

Other events:

 During Dr Bilal Philip’s short visit to The Gambia in January 2015, he conducted presentations to several communities, in addition to speaking at a large national conference attended by many knowledge enthusiasts.
