IOU launches 1MAS learning center in Jarra Soma, The Gambia

The IOU Founder-Chancellor Dr Bilal Philips launched a university-level learning center in Jarra Soma, at the IOU Gambia HQ, which is the first institution to launch the project.

The 1MAS project aims at decentralizing higher education by bringing higher education to the doorsteps of every Gambian child. Almost 90% of the post-secondary education institutions are found in the Greater Banjul Area, therefore the 1MAS Project is geared towards expanding in the rural area, which is by educational requirement policies in the Gambia.  The 1MAS project aims to aid Muslim youth to access education through readily available scholarships to turn their dreams into reality.
