A successful promotion for the IOU (Islamic Online University) was recently conducted at an event in Kerala, India.
A stall was organised and put together at a student conference set up by the Mujahid Student Movement (MSM).
It was a three day event taking place over the 7th, 8th and 9th of January. The event managed to attract a crowd of over 60,000 people, out of which 40,000 were students.
The majority of the students that attended the event were students local to Kerala but many others also attended from further afield both inside and outside of India including: IIT Bombay, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Sudan and Afghanistan.
The message and vision of the IOU was presented successfully and professionally. Many brochures and cards were handed out both for the benefit of attendees and also for further distribution at other venues.
Many students visited the stall as well as attending professionals and doctors. Participating orators and coordinators of the conference were also made aware of the stall and the information it provided. Representatives of the well established IRF (Islamic Research Foundation) founded by Dr. Zakir Naik were present at the conference. The organisers of the IOU stall were able to take full advantage of this networking opportunity and presented information of the IOU to these representatives and other established speakers and event organisers.
Subsequently, as a result of the hard work and efforts undergone at this event there have now been many enquiries about applications and registration to the IOU BAIS course. Its overwhelming value in terms of delivering high quality, authentic, accessible, affordable, university level Islamic education to brothers and sisters alike has been recognised. Inshaa’Allaah many will be able to take full advantage of the opportunities on offer through the BAIS and Diploma programs and the benefit it can offer both to students in India and anywhere else in the world.
Those involved with this promotional event now plan to visit further university campus’s and places of study spreading further promotional material and informing people of the benefits available with the IOU to the people of Kerala and beyond. May Allaah help them and reward them for their efforts.
Inshaa’Allaah in the future, more promotional events are hoped to take place with equally successful results.
