The Minister of Internal Affairs, Liberia, His Excellency Varney A. Sirleaf,  met IOU Founder-Chancellor Dr Bilal Philips, Vice-Chancellor Dr Cherno Omar Barry, Madam Zainab Assaf Ofume, President of Africa International Institute of Science and Technology (AIIST) and accompanying IOU officials.

The team of visiting IOU officials presented the mission and vision of the International Open University to the Honorable Minister who has the unique distinction of being the only Muslim minister in Liberia.
