MOA between Islamic University in Uganda and the IOU

On May 4, 2016, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was signed between the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) and the Islamic Online University (IOU).

This MOA seeks to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions in the fields of education, scholarly research and service programs. The two universities have agreed to offer joint degree programs and facilitate faculty and students for research, training, and other relevant academic pursuits from September 2016. 
 
Under the agreement, IUIU will accommodate IOU courses and students, enroll qualified students for MA and PhD programs and facilitate the use of its campuses as examination centers for IOU exams. IUIU has also agreed to appoint three full-time staff members to implement the program and promote IOU courses in Uganda.
