A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Fountain University, Osogbo, Nigeria, and the Islamic Online University (IOU) has been signed on June 26, 2015. 

This MOU recognizes the importance of academic interchange between universities, and active engagement in a wider national and international scholarly community by members of academic institutions. Hence, it seeks to strengthen cooperation between the two institutes involved in the fields of education, scholarly research and service programs; and to nurture the creative role of international scholarly communication and collaboration in the development and dissemination of knowledge, learning and research.

The Fountain University, Osogbo, Nigeria, is owned by Nasrul-Lahi-Il-Fatih Society of Nigeria (NASFAT); a leading Islamic Society in Nigeria. The University currently has two colleges namely College of Management and Social Sciences, and College of Natural and Applied Sciences. Furthermore, it offers courses in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, and Public Administration as well as Sociology in the College of Management & Social Sciences. In addition, Biochemistry & Nutrition, Computer Science, Industrial and Environmental, and Physics with Electronics are being offered in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences.
