A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Indus University, Pakistan, and the Islamic Online University (IOU) has been signed on August 24, 2015.

Under this MOU, which seeks to strengthen cooperation between the two institutions involved in the fields of education, scholarly research and service programs, both institutions will provide financial support to a specific number of deserving students in the form of teaching and research scholarship or other stipends appropriate and available. Furthermore, this understanding recognizes the importance of academic interchange between universities, and active engagement in a wider national and international scholarly community by members of academic institutions.
