Prof Dr Muhammad Ahsan noted that the 5th IOUCRIS Online is a historic initiative, beginning with a Research Colloquium with participants from around the world presenting research papers on a variety of topics with an Islamic focus. The main purpose of the conference was to create opportunities for researchers and to foster a research culture among IOU academics, staff, and students in collaboration with globally reputed institutions.

The IOU Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) and Chair of the 5th IOUCRIS, 2024 also announced that all papers presented at the conference were eligible for publication in the IOU in-house peer-reviewed Journal of Integrated Sciences published quarterly.
