A Researcher at the IOU and the Head of the Translation Department, Shaykh Shaibu Asali, has published two textbooks on Islam, which are now being used in Zimbabwean secondary schools.
The first textbook is named “A Guide to Islam: An Advanced Level Textbook on Islam.”
The second textbook is named “An Introduction to Islam: An Ordinary Level Textbook on Islam.”
The textbooks cover the Islamic section of the secondary schools' syllabus in Zimbabwe. A new curriculum has been adopted in Zimbabwe whereby students study four religions namely Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and the African Traditional Religion.
Alhamdulillah, Shaykh Asali produced textbooks, which give a true representation of Islam based on the primary sources of Islamic evidence, the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
