The 8th Convocation Ceremony of The International Open University began with Qur'ān recitation by Shaykh Dr. Ahmad Al-Zaree. 

Shaykh Dr. Ahmad Al-Zaree is a North-America based specialist in infectious diseases and internal medicine who memorized the Qur'ān at the age of 13. He is a well-known khatīb, lecturer, and Islamic speaker.
