The general minimum requirement for admission into a Master’s degree programme at IOU is:
• A relevant 4-year bachelor’s degree (480 credits) or its equivalent, or
• A relevant Honour’s degree (HEQF L8/ISCED exit level 6),
• A relevant postgraduate certificate or diploma (HEQF L8/ISCED exit level 6)

Special Admission Requirement: Arabic Language Proficiency

Applicants should also have near-native competency in Arabic with advanced levels of application of Modern Standard Arabic (MSA).

Master of Arts in Arabic Language Studies Admission Test:

This policy applied to MA in Arabic Applicants (who do not have a bachelor’s degree in Arabic language and linguistics or did not study undergraduate level studies in Arabic medium).
