The International Open University (IOU) welcomed a high-level delegation from EUCLID University to its Headquarters on Thursday, 24 September 2026, for a courtesy visit and discussions on strengthening academic cooperation.

The meeting, led by Prof. Makie Taal, Vice Chancellor of IOU, and Prof. Momodou Mustapha Fanneh, Vice Chancellor of EUCLID University, brought together senior officials from both institutions to explore opportunities for joint academic programs, research, publications, and conferences.

Key areas of collaboration include the proposed Master’s in Entrepreneurship, Investment and Sustainable Development (MEISD), alongside potential joint programs in Environmental Science and Climate Change, Social Welfare and Sustainable Development, and Project Management in TVET.

Both institutions also expressed their commitment to formalizing their partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), with IOU supporting EUCLID University’s ongoing program accreditation efforts.

This engagement marks an important step towards building strategic partnerships that promote innovation, entrepreneurship, research, and sustainable development within higher education.
