The International Open University (IOU) and MIMBARR Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen collaboration and advance shared objectives in education, student support, training, research, community development, and social impact.

The MOU was signed on 7 October 2026 by Prof. Makie Taal, Vice Chancellor of IOU, and Mr. Ousainou Allen, Secretary/Trainer of MIMBARR Foundation, in the presence of representatives from both institutions.

The partnership will facilitate the exchange of expertise and resources, promote institutional visibility, support initiatives that expand access to learning, and explore opportunities for resource mobilization in support of agreed IOU projects.

This collaboration marks another step towards building meaningful partnerships that contribute to education, community development, and sustainable social impact in The Gambia and beyond.
