Admission to a postgraduate program at IOU, including Master’s degrees, requires the following criteria:
- Academic Qualifications:
- Applicants must hold a relevant undergraduate degree from an accredited institution with a minimum cumulative GPA as specified by the program (typically a GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale or equivalent).
- Degree programs must align with the intended Master’s field of study, the specific information can be found in each master’s program’s webpage.
- Degree programs completed must be equivalent to ISCED level 6 for masters degree admissions.
- Application Process:
- Complete and submit the online application form.
- Provide certified copies of academic transcripts, degree certificates, and any other supporting documentation such as recommendation letters or a Statement of Purpose.
- Additional Criteria:
- You may submit a current Curriculum Vitae (CV) outlining academic and professional experience.
- Some programs may require additional assessments, such as a research proposal, or interviews.
- Students who have not completed their bachelor’s degree studies in English medium (where the medium of instruction was English) must submit proof of English proficiency, such as an IELTS or TOEFL score, or appear for the English Placement Test at IOU. This is not required if they have completed prior academic qualifications in English.
