Examination Office

The Examination Office at the International Open University (IOU) plays a critical role in managing and coordinating all aspects of examinations, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for students worldwide. The office oversees the administration of both resets and center management, providing comprehensive support to students throughout their academic journey.

Resets

The Reset facility is designed to assist students who face technical difficulties, such as network issues or power outages, during their unit tests or examinations. If a student is unable to complete an exam due to such issues, they can request a reset to retake the exam at a later date, ensuring that technical problems do not impact their academic performance.

Center Administration

The Center Administration under the Registrar’s Office is responsible for the global coordination of examination centers, ensuring that students can take their exams in a secure, organized, and timely manner. With over 1,100 active exam centers at a time in cities across the globe, the Examination Office manages the logistical work necessary for registering students, scheduling exams, and facilitating the smooth operation of midterm and final exams, as well as supplementary exams. This includes catering to non-resident students who may be traveling to take their exams, ensuring they receive the necessary support to join the designated examination centers.

The Examination Office ensures that all exam-related processes, including registration, scheduling, and execution, are handled with utmost professionalism, providing students with a seamless examination experience no matter where they are in the world.
