Pic : Officials from the International Online University (IOU) toured Al-Hikma university in Tallinding on 14 April 2026 as part of initiatives to enhance institutional relations and expand academic cooperation. The delegation included IOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Makie Taal, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) Prof. Dr. Aliyu Dahiru Muhammad, Governing Council member Prof. Aboubacar A Senghore, and Deputy Director of Operations Br Sedike Ceesay.

The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to discuss prospective areas of partnership, particularly in academic programs, research, publications, and conferences. Officials from both institutions explored cooperation in IT, media, and English-language programs, in addition to the possibility of launching joint academic initiatives and co-organizing national and international conferences.

Islamic banking and finance, as well as Islamic psychology, emerged as key subjects for future collaboration. The importance of English bridging programs for graduates from Arabic-medium institutions was likewise emphasized.

The visit marked an important step toward sustained institutional partnership and academic growth.
