POLICY OF POSTING ATTESTED DOCUMENTS TO THE IOU ADMISSIONS OFFICE

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to define the rules and regulations concerning the postage of attested (notarized) documents to the IOU Admissions Office.

Policy Statement

The students of all the accredited bachelor’s, diploma, higher diploma, master’s, and certificate programs at the IOU are hereby mandated to post the notarized documents* to the IOU Admissions Office in India via airmail.

  • The notarized documents are hereby defined as the photocopy of the high school diploma or higher degree certificate or consolidated mark sheet / transcript bearing a notary stamp and a signature. Photocopies of notarized documents are not acceptable for this purpose.

The three categories of the required documents are defined below.

1. Admission Confirmation Document

Undergraduate admissions: notarized copy of high school diploma or higher degree certificate
Postgraduate admissions: notarized copy of bachelor’s or higher degree certificate

2. Supporting Document of Course Waiver

Supporting documents (photocopy of university transcripts, etc.) bearing proof of successful completion of relevant courses against which courses have been waived off. Each of the documents must bear a notary stamp and a signature.

3. Supporting Document of External Credit Transfer

This category includes photocopies of university transcripts bearing proof of successful completion of relevant courses against which transfer credits have been received. Each of the documents must bear a notary stamp and a signature.

This policy includes all the accredited bachelor’s degree, diploma, higher diploma, master’s degree, and certificate programs at the IOU from the following 6 departments:

  1. Department of Education
  2. Department of Islamic Economics, Banking, and Finance
  3. Department of Psychology
  4. Department of Islamic Studies
  5. Department of Business Administration
  6. Department of Information Technology
Important Point to Note

The students are granted a grace period to post the attested documents via airmail. While it is a mandatory requirement for confirmed admission and to obtain the degree, diploma or certificate, students may post the documents any time before entering the final semester of studies.
