Overview
The Higher Diploma in Arabic (BMARB) course is offered to students who already possess an undergraduate degree or its equivalent in other disciplines, and would like to enter the Master’s degree (MA in Arabic) program rather than the undergraduate degree (BA in Arabic Language and Linguistics) program.
The BMARB is a one-year program (2 semesters, 5 courses in each semester) that can be completed in a maximum period of three years. The minimum academic qualification to enter the IOU Higher Diploma in Arabic program is a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
This is an accredited program. Students who successfully complete this course of study will be given a certificate.
There are three options for graduates of the BMARB program:
- Students are automatically eligible for the IOU MA in Arabic degree program the following semester.
- Students may join the MA in Arabic degree program later if they choose to take some time off.
- Students may pursue an MA in Arabic at any other institution of their choice.
