The International Open University (IOU) is a collaborating partner at the 6th Global Forum on Islamic Economics, Finance and Banking (IEBF) scheduled to take place on April 17-18, 2026, at the Hakeem Saeed Hall, University of Management and Technology (UMT) in Lahore, Pakistan.
Organized by the Khurshid Ahmad Institute of Islamic Economics and Finance (KAIIEF) at UMT, the forum brings together experts, scholars, and professionals to explore trends and developments in Islamic finance.

His Excellency Mr. Anwar Ibrahim, the President of Malaysia delivered the keynote address online. The guest speaker Dr. Zafar Kayani from Trent University, Ontario Canada commended the efforts of the Khurshid Ahmad Institute of Islamic Economics and Finance for inviting international delegates and organizing a world class conference.

The IOU Deputy Vice Chancellor, (Academics) Prof. Dr. Aliyu Dahiru Muhammad, was honored on the occasion. Another delegate from IOU Dr. Asad Gul of the IEBF successfully presented his paper on the first session before the inaugural session.
