The IOU Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) Prof Aliyu Dahiru Muhammad and the EA to the VC attended the official opening ceremony of Africa Science Week and the launch of the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS), held at the Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Centre (OIC Road).

The event, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MoHERST) in collaboration with AIMS Gambia, the University of The Gambia (UTG), and partners, marked a significant milestone in advancing science, technology, and innovation in The Gambia and across Africa.
