The International Open University (IOU) Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC Academics), Prof. Aliyu Dahiru Muhammad, delivered a one-hour capacity-building session for the IOU staff at the IOU Headquarters on 29 June, 2026.

The session focused on the importance of strategic and effective communication in enhancing job performance, strengthening teamwork, fostering trust, and improving productivity while maintaining a balanced and inspiring work environment.

Drawing lessons from the story of Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him), Prof. Aliyu emphasized that knowledge, skills, trust, and self-discipline are essential ingredients for successful service delivery and organizational excellence.

He concluded by encouraging staff to continue working collaboratively, build mutual trust, and support one another in fulfilling their responsibilities, reaffirming that collective effort is key to achieving the University’s goals.
