Policy Statement
The Open Education Program at the Islamic Online University allows students without formal education to join university level degree programs under Advance Diploma stream. The basic difference of studying the same undergraduate programs of the IOU as a mainstream degree student and under the Open Education Program is that the credits earned do not carry the equivalent of the university credits nor count toward the admission requirement of any of the accredited degree, diploma or certificate program at the IOU.
Under this policy, the students of the Advance Diploma stream under the Open Education Program may be permitted to request for a Bachelor’s Degree instead of an Advance Diploma if the following condition is met:
Note:
Benefits of the Policy
There is great benefit in this policy for those students who may complete their studies at IOU and also obtain a high school diploma at the same time and seek to proceed for further studies or work without any delay if their request is accepted.
