The International Open University courses, structured as 3 credit hour courses, consists of recorded lectures by instructor and recorded supplementary sessions by faculty members. A student will earn 3 credit hours per successful completion of a course.

BA / BSc / BEd Degree Course Credit Requirement

To obtain a BA/BEd/BSc/BBA degree, a student needs to complete the required courses including the BA/BEd /BSc/BBA thesis.

Note:

BA in Islamic Studies Degree Requirement

This track consists of 48 courses. Students who have been granted a waiver for Arabic, English or Computer will have to take one or more courses (equal to the number of courses waived) offered as “Waiver Replacement Courses” in order to complete the required 48 courses or 144 credit hours of academic courses.

Bachelors of Science in Psychology

• If your batch of entry is from Spring 2014 to Spring 2018 and you have graduated from BScPSY Degree curr. S2014 then the requirement to graduate is to complete a total of 46 courses or 138 credit hours of academic courses including the BSc Psy thesis, and all the courses mentioned here. 
• If your batch of entry is from Fall 2018 to Spring 2022 and you have graduated from BSc Psy Degree curr. F2018 then the requirement to graduate is to complete a total of 37 courses or 111 credits hours of academic courses including BSc Psy thesis, and all the courses mentioned here. Clinical Placement Psy 702 has been removed from the curriculum as approved by the Senate on 25th June 2022. 

2-year Associate Degree Program Course Credit Requirement

To obtain a 2-year accredited Associate Degree, a student needs to complete the required courses.
