Prof. Makie Taal, the IOU Vice Chancellor, was invited to address students at Khulafa Islamic Secondary School, founded by Sheikh Njuki. The session aimed to motivate all students, with special emphasis on candidates preparing for the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examinations, who will be joining university next year.

The VC provided career guidance and presented the International Open University (IOU) as one of the most affordable university options for undergraduate studies after high school. University flyers containing program information and contact details were distributed to encourage future engagement and applications.

As part of the outreach, students were also offered the opportunity to enroll in a free Computer Applications course at the IOU Learning Centre as a strategy to strengthen engagement and attract prospective students.
