Pic: Prof. Makie Taal, Vice Chancellor of the International Open University (IOU), together with Dr. Mohamed Salum (IOU Tanzania Representative), Sister Nahida (IOU Tanzania Board Member), and Brother Ramadhan (IOU Tanzania Student), had the privilege of meeting Dr. Saleh Mubarak Bazead, CEO of NAMA.

The meeting covered several important matters. Prof. Makie Taal opened by introducing IOU and its academic programs to the CEO, followed by a discussion on the need for collaboration with NAMA to provide expanded scholarship opportunities for individuals in need. In turn, the CEO of NAMA shared several valuable approaches that, if implemented, could help strengthen IOU's institutional stability.

To carry the conversation forward, Prof. Makie Taal will arrange a follow-up meeting between the CEO of NAMA and IOU's Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Bilal Philips, to further explore how the two organizations can collaborate to support students, universities, and communities at large.
