Prof. Makie Taal, Vice Chancellor of the International Open University (IOU), and Dr. Mohamed Salum, IOU Tanzania Representative, had the privilege of meeting Mr. Rashid Rashid, Manager of Islamic Banking and Finance at CRDB Bank, Dar es Salaam.

The discussion centered on three key areas of potential collaboration:

Internship Opportunities — Providing internships for IOU students, particularly those under the Faculty of Islamic Banking and Finance.
Scholarships — Requesting the bank's support in offering scholarships to students pursuing studies in Islamic Banking and Finance.
Professional Development — Offering professional short courses in Islamic Banking and Finance for CRDB Bank's staff.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Rashid proposed that IOU send a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to the bank, noting that this would facilitate the smooth implementation of all the matters discussed.
