The International Open University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Makie Taal accompanied by IOU Board Member Mr. Khalifa Ceesay, met with the Vice Chancellor of Euclid University, Professor Momodou Mustapha Fanneh and Euclid University Registrar, Mr Muhammed Hassan Loum on Friday, 20th June 2025 at Euclid University in Bangui, Central African Republic.

The officials discussed important first step activities of a post GMIS national launch (i.e , pilot testing technical programs such as teacher training in core subjects, student mentoring, and curriculum development etc.).

IOU and Euclid University have agreed in principle to enter into a mutually beneficial partnership/MoU. Both institution heads/VCs agreed to co-develop and co-implement 2 joint master's degree programs in (1) Entrepreneurship and (2) Research Management (with a focus on AI and data science).

Both institutions will also collaborate on joint research and consulting opportunities and both VCs will be attending the 06th Vice Chancellors Forum organized by ICESCO in Rabat, Morocco from 23-25 June 2025.
