Pic: In a significant step forward in strengthening academic partnerships in Pemba, IOU Vice Chancellor Prof. Makie Taal, Dr Mohamed (IOU Tanzania Representative), and Mr. Mustafa (IOU Pemba Representative), had the honor of meeting with the leadership of Pemba Islamic College — the Principal, Vice Principal, and Quality Assurance Officer — to explore a collaboration between International Open University (IOU) and the College on 28 July 2026.

The discussion centered on the mutual benefits such a partnership could bring to both institutions, and the College's leadership received the proposal with great enthusiasm and openness. Both sides agreed on the value of working together, and the next step will be to formalize this collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which IOU will structure and share with the College shortly.
