The IOU VC, Prof Makie Taal made a courtesy visit at the Mahad Banat, Pangani, Nairobi on Thursday 23 July 2026.

The visit was graced by the presence of IOU KTB Member Sh. Abdullatif Abdulkareem, the Mudirah of the Mahad Sr. Azra Khwaja, Senior teachers Br Abdurahman Ishaq and Sr Samira Mohamed. The IOU Kenya Representative, Theophil Kipoma, was also present.

The IOU VC Prof. Makie Taal was hosted on an internet talk show by Ilm Tv, Nairobi.The program was hosted by Ilm Tv presenter Sr Shamim.
The program centered on the role of Islamic institutions in providing education.
Ilm Tv is managed by Masjid Salaam. After the show, the VC was taken round on a tour of the institution, which not only consists of a Mosque and a Tv station but also a school offering IGCSE.

The VC with the Ilm Tv Station Manager, the school principal and a senior official. Present was the IOU Kenya Representative, Theophil Kipoma.

The IOU VC, Professor Makie Taal paid a courtesy call at the Premier Bank Kenya headquarters, at the Mihrab, Hurlingham, Nairobi. His host, the CEO of Premier Bank, Br Osman Dualle, gave him a warm welcome. Discussions centered on how the two institutions can partner for the benefit of all. Most of these ideas will be implemented soon.

Present in the discussions were the Premier Bank's Executive Director, Br Muhammad Suleiman Gulam, the Premier Bank's Relationship Manager, Br Hassan Mohamed and IOU Kenya Representative, Theophil Kipoma.
